Epikaira Illustrated monthly poster, No. 92 (Greek, Athens, March 1957)
A Greek-language photo-news sheet, the March 1957 issue (92) of the monthly 'Epikaira Eikonografimena', laid out as a grid of captioned photographs. Its main feature marks ten years of the Truman Doctrine, with photographs of aid shipments and Greek farming; other items show a visiting king, a rocket launch, an aircraft carrier and a library exhibit. The tell is card-stacking: the sheet gives only items favourable to the United States and its Greek and NATO partners, and it transfers the standing of allies and ceremonies onto U.S. policy.
