Revolutionary Development Workers Help the People of Phuoc Long in Building a New Life

The text says the Viet Cong 'terrorists' destroyed a hamlet the year before and that the cadres rebuild, treat the sick and help organise local elections and self-defence. The sheet attributes the destruction to one side and the rebuilding to the other, with no other view of events given.

CÁN BỘ X.D.N.T. GIÚP NHÂN DÂN TỈNH PHƯỚC LONG TẠO LẬP ĐỜI SỐNG MỚI Năm ngoái bọn khủng bố Việt Cộng đã tàn phá ấp Phước Qua. Nay đoàn cán bộ X.D.N.T. giúp đồng bào xây lại nhà cửa, trường học, đường sá để đem lại hạnh phúc cho thôn ấp. Họ cũng giúp dân chúng trong công tác chữa bệnh cho những người đau ốm. Nhiều đoàn cán bộ xây dựng nông thôn khác đang giúp dân chúng thôn quê lập một đời sống mới. Cô nữ y tá Đặng thị Minh Nguyệt một cán bộ X.D.N.T. đảm nhiệm công việc hành chánh và y tế cho dân làng. Cô rất lấy làm sung sướng mang trọng trách giúp đỡ nhân dân tìm thấy đời sống tốt đẹp hơn. Với sự giúp đỡ của đoàn cán bộ X.D.N.T. một người trong làng đang dựng lại ngôi nhà của ông ta. Ông tin tưởng rằng Chính phủ V.N.C.H. tận tình giúp đỡ dân chúng và một ngày gần đây Việt Cộng sẽ bị thảm bại. Việt Cộng phá hoại, cán bộ X.D.N.T. xây cất lại! Cán bộ X.D.N.T. đang giúp dân làng xây những ngôi nhà mới. Đoàn cán bộ X.D.N.T. dưới quyền điều khiển của anh đoàn trưởng Đặng văn Linh, giúp dân chúng tổ chức bầu cử tại địa phương, huấn luyện dân làng tự bảo vệ thôn ấp và trình lên cấp trên ý nguyện của nhân dân. REVOLUTIONARY DEVELOPMENT CADRES HELP THE PEOPLE OF PHUOC LONG PROVINCE BUILD A NEW LIFE Last year the Viet Cong terrorists devastated Phuoc Qua hamlet. Now a team of R.D. cadres is helping the people rebuild houses, schools and roads to bring happiness back to the hamlet. They also help the people in treating the sick. Many other rural construction cadre teams are helping the country people set up a new life. The nurse Dang thi Minh Nguyet, an R.D. cadre, handles administrative and medical work for the villagers. She is very happy to carry the heavy responsibility of helping the people find a better life. With the help of the R.D. cadre team, a man of the village is rebuilding his house. He believes that the Government of the Republic of Vietnam helps the people devotedly and that one day soon the Viet Cong will be utterly defeated. The Viet Cong destroy, the R.D. cadres rebuild! R.D. cadres are helping the villagers build new houses. The R.D. cadre team, under the direction of team leader Dang van Linh, helps the people organise local elections, trains villagers to defend their hamlet themselves, and submits the people's wishes to higher authority.
