Tại Đài Phát-thanh Long-an, anh Bằng đang kêu gọi các bạn sớm rời hàng ngũ để trở về với Chánh-nghĩa Quốc-gia. Anh Bằng được cử làm đại-biểu dự đại-hội quy-chánh tại Sài-gòn trong trung-tuần tháng 9/1965. Anh còn là 1 học viên xuất sắc của khóa 8 tại Trung-Tâm Chiêu-Hồi Tỉnh. SP-775
RETURN TO THE WARM NEST In response to the Government's Chieu Hoi policy, on 26 July 1965 Mr. Nguyen Van Bang, deputy squad leader of Viet Cong company 420, rallied to a Republic of Vietnam army unit stationed at Luong Hoa Thuong, Ben Luc district, Long An province, after four years of mistakenly being a slave to the Communists. Mr. Nguyen Van Bang pondering how to return to the National cause. On the day he rallied, Mr. Bang made an effort to bring back 5 weapons (1 Bar light machine gun, 2 Garands and 2 carbines). He was warmly received by the military, civil and government agencies and the Lieutenant Colonel province chief personally handed him a reward of 8,300 piastres. At the Long An radio station, Mr. Bang is calling on his comrades to leave the ranks soon and return to the National cause. Mr. Bang was chosen as a delegate to the rallier congress in Saigon in mid-September 1965. He is also an outstanding student of course 8 at the provincial Chieu Hoi Center. SP-775
