Union Labor Party
Black-and-white lithograph for the Union Labor ticket. Oval portraits of Alson J. Streeter of Illinois and Charles E. Cunningham of Arkansas flank figures of Liberty and Justice on a globe lettered "Union for ever", under a flag banner reading "The product of labor belongs to the producer" and a quotation from Abraham Lincoln; a farmer and a smith stand at the sides. The Lincoln quotation is a vouch from a named man (testimonial), and the globe, flag and allegorical figures lend symbolic weight (transfer).
