'El Arma de la Victoria Final' [The Weapon of the Final Victory], 1942 US poster: A photograph of a US four-engine bomber

'El Arma de la Victoria Final' [The Weapon of the Final Victory] (The Final Victory Weapon [Spanish])

A photograph of a US four-engine bomber (Flying Fortress) seen from above sits over a Spanish text block, a US flag and a portrait of President Roosevelt, inside a blue border of stars. The flag and portrait attach national authority to the aircraft (transfer), and the text gives altitude and production claims with no counter-figures (card-stacking).

EL ARMA DE LA
VICTORIA FINAL

THE WEAPON OF THE FINAL VICTORY

The long-distance bombing raids carried out by the British Royal Air Force show that the “Air Fortress” is the weapon the aggressors did not foresee. Able to attack from an altitude of 12,300 metres (the new models will fly higher still), it places itself out of range of enemy anti-aircraft fire or of defence aircraft able to manoeuvre at the greatest altitudes. Four important factories in the United States are currently building these enormous bombers, which will also be built in the new large factory that Henry Ford has built specially for that purpose. The ample facilities and mechanical experience of North America allow it to manufacture the “Air Fortresses” on a mass-production basis. The initial production programme of the United States is 500 “Air Fortresses” per month.
