La Voz de la Verdad (Lugo), front page for the silver jubilee of the Tarsicios, 11 April 1926
Front page of a Catholic daily in Lugo, Galicia, devoted to the 25th anniversary of the local Tarsicios (a youth Eucharistic association). The lead items print the bishop's telegram to Rome and the papal blessing sent back through Cardinal Gasparri, then call the boys 'soldiers' who 'swore the banners of the immortal King'. Tells: the Pope and bishop vouch for the association, and the military vocabulary and the saint's image carry the Church's prestige onto the youth section.

Masthead, lead headline and the telegram exchange are transcribed; ellipses in square brackets mark passages left out for length, not illegible text. The telegram text is as printed, including 'concurriran' without an accent; the final numeral after 'PIO' is hard to read at this resolution and is marked [?].
