Darlac Agricultural Service Helping the People
A photo-captioned sheet headed 'Darlac Agricultural Service helps the people' says the province's agriculture service sent cadres in 1967 to nine named hamlets to hand out vegetable seed and teach improved methods such as pesticide and chemical fertiliser. Photographs show farmers with harvested greens, a woman watering a vegetable plot, a woman in an ao dai inspecting baskets, and a farmer being paid for his vegetables. The tell is the sequence of work, produce and payment shown as the ordinary outcome of the service's visits.

DARLAC AGRICULTURE SERVICE HELPS THE PEOPLE The Darlac Agriculture Service regularly encourages and guides the Kinh and Highland people of the province in farming. Especially in 1967 this Service sent cadres to the hamlets: Buon Dha-Ea-Bong, Buon Kram, Buon A-Le-A, Buon Duy-Hoa I, Buon Duy-Hoa 2, Buon A-Le-B, Buon Ea-Yong-B, Buon Knir, Doan-ket, thien an [as printed] to hand out vegetable seed and show farmers how to farm by improved methods such as using insecticide, using chemical fertiliser, and composting rubbish, etc. The farmer is proud of the good result after many days of diligent work and applying the new farming method. Thanks to the guidance of the agriculture cadres, the people tend and water their vegetable gardens to increase production. The good green vegetables are introduced by the Agriculture Service to people who come to buy on the spot. Here a farmer is receiving money from selling vegetables. A flourishing harvest will surely bring a better way of life to the people. SP-1816
