Germ Warfare: Ang mga Komunista Nadakpan sa Binutig (Communists Caught in a Lie) (Hiligaynon poster distributed in Asia)
A photo sheet in Hiligaynon answering the 1952 Communist charge that UN forces used germ weapons in Korea. Portraits of Acheson, Trygve Lie and Jacob Malik head the page, above photographs of a UN-flagged field hospital, Red Cross delegates, a prisoner being inoculated, a wounded man on a stretcher and a man spraying a shed. The captions state that the UN and Red Cross offered an investigation and that the Communists refused. The tell is testimonial and transfer: UN and Red Cross standing is attached to the US-UN side, and officials' denials stand as the rebuttal.

Text on the object
Communists Caught in a Lie The Chinese and North Korean Communists, since they cannot look after the health of soldiers and civilians in North Korea, have charged that the UN is using "germ bombs". Jacob Malik of Russia, right, made the accusation, which Acheson of the U.S., left, called "ridiculous" [Hiligaynon "makahalam-ot"; sense approximate]. Trygve Lie of Norway, Secretary General of the UN, centre, denied it. The Red Cross, known as neutral throughout the world, accepted the responsibility of investigating the charges and of helping the sick, whatever the cause. UN officials agreed to the offer. But the Communists refused, as they had earlier refused the services of the neutral Swiss Red Cross, and rejected help from the UN World Health Organization. The lie is exposed. The world, and the Communist prisoners of war, know that the UN and the free world stand for health and truth, not disease and lies. The prisoners at left and the wounded man in the centre receive real care. Those who saw the U.S. and UN health work (right) know that the Communists are lying.
Translation is approximate; Hiligaynon wording was read from the printed sheet and checked against the other-language editions of the same layout.
