Give us more P-47's
Army Air Forces production-appeal poster: a P-47 Thunderbolt and a German fighter with swastika tail marking collide in a cloud-filled sky, over a boxed quotation from an 'Army Air Forces report' on a P-47 victory. The tell is a single favourable combat episode, attributed to an official report, standing in for a request for more aircraft.

Give us MORE P-47's "The Nazi climbed into the sun . . . the P-47 banked sharply to avoid a crash but its tail smashed into the Messerschmitt's propeller and engine...the Nazi spun down streaming smoke. This unorthodox victory won, the Thunderbolt, although damaged, rejoined the fight and shot down another enemy fighter." Army Air Forces report U. S.
