Humane Spirit of the 101st Airborne Division
A Chieu Hoi sheet (SP-1533) says the 101st Airborne is deadly to Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces but will feed, house and treat those who rally. Two photographs show a U.S. medic giving malaria medicine to a rallier and treating a rallier's child's eye. The footer sets 'Chieu Hoi is the road of life' against 'fighting for the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese communists is the road of death'.

HUMANE SPIRIT OF THE SOLDIERS OF THE 101ST DIVISION In many places the U.S. 101st Division has become famous for its work of exterminating the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces. Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces that meet the 101st Division are certain to die. But toward those Viet Cong or North Vietnamese cadres and soldiers who return to the just cause by way of the Chieu Hoi policy, they have a completely different attitude. They are ready to help those who return to the Government with food, lodging and attentive medical care. A rallier receiving medicine for the jungle malaria he caught while still in the Viet Cong ranks. The children of ralliers are also given medical care.
