Let's give our boys more of those disintegrating 50's - Keep 'em shooting!

Production poster with a smiling pilot in goggles, a pasted-in Associated Press clipping headed 'Flying Fortress Defeats Six Jap Planes at Wake' with a red oval around a pilot's quote, a burning plane trailing smoke and a .50 caliber cartridge. The clipping and the quoted major are the testimonial; one reported engagement stands for the case for more ammunition.

Flying Fortress
Defeats Six Jap
Planes at Wake
HEADQUARTERS, HAWAIIAN AIR FORCE—(AP)—An American flying fortress on a secret mission to Japanese-held Wake Island destroyed four of six Japanese planes which rose to attack it and returned to its base with three bullet holes as the only damage.
A fifth enemy plane probably was destroyed and the sixth, which followed the fortress to a point 150 miles from Wake, was given only a 50-50 chance to make its way back to its base because of prevailing bad weather.
The attack occurred last weekend.

"We just disintegrated the Jap planes," said Major George B. Glober, of San Angelo, Texas. "It takes only a few of our .50 caliber shells to disintegrate them."
DISINTEGRATING
50's

The lower edge of the clipping is partly covered by the red oval and the word DISINTEGRATING; the last words of the quotation are read as far as visible.
