"Crusader" Tanks are Being Turned Out by the Thousand in this British Factory, 1939 UK poster: A photograph of workers

"Crusader" Tanks are Being Turned Out by the Thousand in this British Factory

A photograph of workers on a tank assembly line fills the sheet, with a Union Jack roundel and 'For Freedom' at lower left and a caption giving the tanks' weight and saying 'thousands' are being produced. The tell for card-stacking is the unsourced round figure 'thousands' with no count, dates or losses; the 'For Freedom' tag is a virtue phrase attached to a production photograph.

"CRUSADER" TANKS ARE BEING TURNED OUT
BY THE THOUSAND IN THIS BRITISH FACTORY

THESE BRITISH "LAND CRUISERS" each weigh eighteen tons and are heavily armed. Those shown here on the assembly line are just some of the thousands that are being turned out by a big factory in a British industrial area. They will soon be in action with British troops in many parts of the world.
