EISENHOWER THANKS US IN REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE WORKERS IN BRITISH ROYAL ORDNANCE FACTORIES WHICH PRODUCE GUNS, AMMUNITION AND BOMBS FOR MEDITERRANEAN FORCES UNDER YOUR COMMAND SEND YOU AND ALL ALLIED TROOPS SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD WISHES ON SUCCESSFUL ESTABLISHMENT OF BRIDGEHEAD IN EUROPE. WE FULLY REALISE OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR MEN BY MAINTAINING INDIVIDUAL OUTPUT OF ALL THE MATERIAL YOU NEED. WE ARE DETERMINED TO SEE YOU THROUGH THE NEXT LONG AND DIFFICULT STRETCH.
