Write to Russia (Russian War Relief, Inc.)

A broadsheet of reprinted letters from Soviet soldiers, a medical student, farmers and schoolchildren sits under the headline 'Write to Russia', with sample 'To a Russian Ally' letter forms and instructions. The tell is the named letter-writers vouching for the campaign and the claim of 'thousands of letters' and 'every American' joining in. The sheet asks for letters, not money.

Write to Russia

From foxholes . . . from farms . . . from ruined cities and razed villages . . . from schools and factories . . . Russian War Relief has received thousands of letters like those reprinted here. All of them express one goal: Victory! All of them have one desire: an answer from an unknown, unseen friend in the United States.
Russian War Relief is now conducting a "Write to Russia" campaign to give every American the opportunity to express his sympathy and admiration for Russia's gallant sacrifices in its fight against our common enemy.

THEY WILL BE GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU!

[letter labels:] From a Red Army Officer / From a Medical Student / From a Woman Farmer / From a Group of Women / From a Captain in the Red Army / From a High School Student
[sample forms:] TO A RUSSIAN ALLY (Русскому союзнику)

You can write to any one you like by simply addressing your letters to:
A RED ARMY MAN / A RED NAVY MAN / A SOVIET FARMER AND ALLY / A FRIEND IN A MOSCOW SCHOOL / A FELLOW FACTORY WORKER IN THE U.S.S.R. / A SOVIET NURSE / A RUSSIAN GUERILLA / A WOUNDED FIGHTER OF THE SOVIET UNION, ETC.

The letters you write will be carried in the same Soviet ships that carry Russian War Relief supplies to the Soviet Union. Letters are limited to both sides of a single sheet of paper. They must be signed and must bear the address of the writer. No envelopes will be needed - your open letters will be neatly bundled to make handling easier.

Our Russian allies are just as curious about us as we are about them. You can make them feel that they know you by telling them how old you are, where you live and what you do. Your letters should be sent to the headquarters of your local Russian War Relief Committee - NOW!
