New Activities in Kien Tuong
A photo sheet (code SP-1479) says the government in Kien Tuong province has given farmers seed, livestock and farm tools and run training classes in animal husbandry and farming, helping hundreds of farmers raise output. Photographs show a named farmer, Nguyen Van Tuoi, smiling at peanuts he grew with three children beside him, good breeding pigs, and an older woman trainee injecting a pig. The closing strip reads 'Government and people cooperate to develop a new way of life.'

SINH HOẠT MỚI TẠI KIẾN TƯỜNG Tại tỉnh Kiến Tường chính phủ đã giúp nông dân hạt giống, gia súc và dụng cụ nông nghiệp để giúp tăng gia sản xuất hầu cải thiện mức sống nhân dân. Ngoài ra, các lớp huấn luyện về chăn nuôi và canh nông cũng đã tổ chức để giúp dân chúng học biết các phương pháp mới. Nhờ đó mà hàng trăm nông dân đã có thể tăng gia sản xuất về trồng trọt cũng như chăn nuôi. Ông Nguyễn Văn Tươi, người đã hăng hái tham gia chương trình phát triển nông thôn, đang tươi cười nhìn những hạt đậu phụng to và mập do ông trồng. Nông dân Kiến Tường đã có thể có những heo giống tốt để nuôi nhờ chương trình phát triển nông thôn của chính phủ. Bà già này, là học viên của lớp huấn luyện về chăn nuôi, đang thực tập cách chích ngừa bệnh cho heo. Đây là một bước đầu trong chiều hướng sinh hoạt mới. NEW ACTIVITIES IN KIEN TUONG In Kien Tuong province the government has helped farmers with seed, livestock and agricultural tools to help increase production and so improve the people's standard of living. In addition, training classes on animal raising and farming have been organized to help the people learn new methods. Thanks to this, hundreds of farmers have been able to increase production in crops as well as livestock. Mr. Nguyen Van Tuoi, who has eagerly joined the rural development programme, smiles as he looks at the big, plump peanuts he grew. Kien Tuong farmers are now able to have good breeding pigs to raise thanks to the government's rural development programme. This old woman, a student in the animal-raising training class, is practising how to inoculate pigs against disease. This is a first step in the direction of a new way of life.
