Story of Hungary poster No. 1: Comes to the Philippines (English, Manila)
Six captioned photographs of Philippine events with Hungarian refugees of the 1956 revolution: a Chinese anti-Communist rally, mourners at a roadside body, nuns and students with a book on Soviet 'atrocities', a Rotary Club of Manila luncheon with the Defense Secretary, and farmers. Centre text quotes 'freedom fighters' telling Filipinos freedom 'has been crushed but desire for freedom lives on'. The tell is testimonial and bandwagon: eyewitness voices and named Filipino groups and officials are shown backing one account.
