The Truth About Chieu Hoi in Go Cong
A Chieu Hoi poster (code SP-1735) says many Viet Cong fighters fear mistreatment under the government's Chieu Hoi policy but learn the truth after a few days at the Go Cong centre, and concludes 'rallying is your only road'. A price list of daily food, monthly pocket money, clothing, travel and 'special work bonus' payments, in piastres, sits beside three photographs of named ralliers learning trades. Photographs of contented men are paired with an itemised offer and an 'only road' closing line.
