The New Life of Hoi Chanh in Binh Tuy's Second Chieu Hoi Village at Vo Dat
A photo sheet under a blue headline says 62 families from Viet Cong areas have begun a new life in the Vo Dat Chieu Hoi village and that more villages and families will follow as more cadres rally. Six photographs with captions show ralliers building a house, a classroom, farming, a mosquito-control survey and a woman who opened a grocery. Named former Viet Cong, among them a village clerk, a medic and a propaganda team leader, speak of government help. The tell is the run of individual stories and everyday scenes, offering a comfortable picture of life after rallying.
